Holistic Practitioner Specialising in Yoga Therapy

Simon believes that yoga therapy is one of the most exciting mind body fields today and the goal of one to one yoga therapy is to work together to empower a person, to teach the skills that promote well being in their own daily life.

About

I am a yoga therapist, yoga and meditation teacher and have been meditating, practising yoga and exploring breathing techniques since 2003 having discovered them as tools for stress management during my former career.

I found the benefits both immediate and very profound, enabling me to achieve increased clarity and insight into my own life, improved quality of sleep and a strengthened resilience.

In my personal life, I have found them to be very useful to help break the cycle of anxiety, paving the way to a happier and more fulfilling life. My body has also become much stronger and more mobile.

Yoga therapy draws on a combination of the latest neuroscience, yoga postures, breathing practices, mindfulness techniques and psychology to alleviate symptoms and / or improve mental and physical health and wellbeing.

There is growing clinical evidence to support the benefits of yoga therapy for mental health conditions including anxiety and depression and yoga is now included as part of the NHS social prescribing protocol.

My areas of specialisation for yoga therapy are adults with anxiety, depression, stress, lower back pain, migraine/headaches, COPD, post-Covid recovery, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis & Parkinsons.

I have experience too working with men’s health, including sexual health, and my training in yoga therapy helps me to work sensitively and practically.
